VSE Advanced Steering

VSE Advanced Steering has an electrically driven pump. The steering system is powered by the truck via a 24 V connection which can also be used for charging if the system is equipped with batteries.

Because a trailer with VSE Advanced Steering has its own power supply, it is easy to switch trucks. All the truck needs to have is a suitable 24 V connection such as a NATO socket.

In the case of long trailers or trailers which require a lot of steering movements to be performed within a short space of time, the system can be equipped with batteries. These will be maintenance-free AGM batteries which are well-protected against discharge if the trailer is not used for a long period of time, for example. When the truck is at a standstill, there is the option to use the power supply of the VSE Advanced Steering system for other consumers such as e.g. hydraulic ramps.
